The Name ~ Alea Amor

My mother named me after the famous singer from the 90's Aaliyah. Even though my name is actually the Polynesian name for "wave" , it also stands for Princess Alea Alea who was one of the daughters to king Kamehameha. As for Amor which is my middle name, which stands for love in Spanish. I love my name and its meanings and couldn't imagine being named anyone else.

How I started..

Modeling found me surprisingly. Growing up and even to this day I hate getting my picture taken unless of course its for a photoshoot. This is mainly because I hate how tall I am (6'2). The older I get the more and more comfortable I get with my height and the more I find it a blessing and less of a curse. I also was always insecure about my nose. However, through modeling I have become so much more accepting of my body and my features. Its crazy how your insecurities can bring out your passion to try new things and embrace them.

I enjoy modeling just as much as I love food which is indescribable! I am so glad this passion found me through my insecurities and even though this is about how I started its only where I'm beginning.
